MORE PRESENTER STUDIO SUCCESS STORIES

Well done to Peg and to Natalie Fee who are both now presenting their own series.  Peg landed her own show just weeks after our fast track presenter training programme.  We worked with Natalie on the 1 to 1 programme and her success has grown and grown and now she is working full time on her own series.  We are so proud of them both.  Here are their fantastic presenter taster tapes we did for them.

TV PRESENTER TRAINING

We have recently been training presenters for a new ITV series and also a new BBC series.  As we work in TV we are known in the industry and that’s why channels, agents and TV Production companies send us clients to work with.  Our presenter training is totally unique, which is down to who we are, and the 20 years of experience we have.  No one else offers the level of training and product that we do, and we are proud to be different!

We are now fully sold out for all our TV Presenter Training Courses until Feb 2015.  We have a long waiting list for all our future presenter courses too.  But we do operate on a first come first served basis so everyone on the waiting list gets told of the new dates at the same time.  So if you move quickly you won’t have long to wait!

To go on our waiting list for 2015 please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

We look forward to working with you in 2015!

NEED A DOCTOR FOR YOUR TV SHOW?

We’ve recently been lucky to have some doctors come and work with us here at The Presenter Studio.  All three have immediately landed themselves TV meetings for their own shows…proof that with the right training and product you can get in front of the top people…and fast.  Take a look at their TV Presenter Showreels and see what you think>

Charlie Travers of Big Brother fame came on our award-winning TV Presenter Fast Track Training Programme a couple of months ago.  She was so inspired by working with us that she has taken herself and another one of the presenters on the presenter training course off to LA.  The two of them are now in the states setting up TV meetings and we wish them well!

To see them in action and the TV Presenter Showreels we did for them both, have a look here.

MALE PRESENTER JOB

We’ve been asked to provide one of our male presenters for a fabulous new presenting job.  Again all exclusive to who we are, and is a production company who we have already placed a client with before.

We currently have a 100% success rate in securing presenter work for our clients – so fingers crossed we can secure this job for someone!

Good luck men!

Gareth

WHAT MAKES A GOOD TV PRESENTER?

Here are 5 top tips from 2 TV Producers on what makes a good TV presenter.

1.  WHO ARE YOU?  Knowing who you are and what makes you different is HUGELY important.  There are loads of aspiring TV presenters out there and you need to stand out from the crowd.

2.  WHAT DO YOU BRING TO A SHOW?  A presenter is hired to bring a show to life.  So what would you bring to the table?  And what audience would you attract, or appeal to?

3.  PASSION.  Producers are massively hungry for new talent.  We are always looking for the next big name.  But it’s hard to back someone unless they want to do it.  So a passion goes a long way.

4.  IMAGE.  TV is a visual medium so make sure you look the part.

5.  BE NICE.  It’s a big mistake of any new TV presenter.  They often play ‘the big I am’ or form cliques.  The TV industry is small.  We all know each other and we all like to work with people who are nice.  So make sure you are too!

THE OSCARS 2015

So did your favourite films and actors win?  We do hope so!

And if you’ve been following the runners and riders you no doubt will have seen our very own Rebecca Perfect on everywhere from the BBC, to SKY to Channel FIVE talking film.

So well done her!  Rebecca first came on the fast track presenter training programme and then we did a 1 to 1 day with her to update her tape after she was getting so much great work!   Here’s a link to the tape we did for her:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74dYmfWd0h4

So well done to her…

PRESENTER TRAINING THAT REALLY WORKS!

It’s easy for us to say how good our training is – but it’s even better when people we work with get in touch to tell us how well they are getting on.

This morning we heard from David McClelland who worked with us a couple of years ago on both his presenting and in developing some programme ideas. Since then he has been super busy working on a range of TV projects as technology and consumer expert – Sharing his passion with the nation.

Here’s what he got in-touch to tell us…

I took away away a lot from our sessions together. I’m now working on my 4th season of BBC1’s Rip Off Britain for News and Current Affairs as its technology consumer champion (‘The Golden Girls’ Gadget Guy’!); I’m also a regular on the ITV Good Morning Britain sofa talking everything tech from the Apple Watch to the iCloud Celebrity Photo hacks, as well as popping up on C4 News, CNN etc giving my take on breaking tech news stories.

Perhaps most pleasing of all, after some pitches based on our consultation, I now work both in front of the camera as co-host and behind the camera as a producer on Planet of the Apps (Ginx Television, London). We’ve just got a recommission and have just started production on season 4 (13 x 24 mins).

Your email about PASSION PASSION PASSION inspired me to write – you’re bang on the money there. With much fact-ent TV using experts as part of their presenting team, knowing your subject isn’t enough any more to make an impact in the industry, you need to be able to communicate it with energy, commitment and PASSION – that’s what engages viewers, and even if they aren’t necessarily engaged in your topic/specialism they can’t help but be engaged by YOU.
Keep up the good work,
David

As we approach our 5th anniversary working it’s brilliant to hear from people who have worked hard and embraced our approach to celebrate your own personality and passions.

This could so easily be you getting in-touch to fill us in on all your news…

You can work with us in all sorts of ways – either on our workshop on April 29th – How To Make It As A TV Presenter, on our award winning two day Fast Track Presenter courses, on a one-to-one basis with some private training or by working with us to help develop your ideas.

We love working with talented people and would love to work with you… So get in-touch and book your place.

Happy Friday everyone!

PITCHING IDEAS TO TV CHANNELS

There is a real need for new talent on TV.  Gareth and Leon at The Presenter Studio have worked in TV for over 20 years each.  Gareth is currently Head of Development for an independent TV Production Company and it’s his job to originate and then pitch new ideas to channels.  And the one thing everyone always wants is new talent.

So here at The Presenter Studio we not only offer presenter training, but we also get each of our clients to understand that they are their own product and they need to be constantly thinking of their own ideas for them to present.  This is what TV Producers want to hear and it’s also a great way of you getting some great work.

So don’t just concentrate on getting a fantastic presenter showreel/taster tape – think of this industry as show business and concentrate on the business bit!  And as many of our clients will tell you this extra hard work pays off!

So today Gareth is off to Channel 4 once more to pitch new ideas.  And he currently has 2 ideas already in development with channel 4, so fingers crossed he is about to land a third!

Have a great day everyone.
