We ask all of our presenters to keep in touch with us once they have trained with us on one of our presenter training courses.

Today we are having a catch up with Peg Alexander who came on our fast track presenter training programme a couple of years ago.  She is now working full time as a TV and radio presenter….Take a read of the work she has done since training with us:

I’ve worked in TV continually since then (except last summer) and have presented 5 series for the city TV station Made in Leeds:

• 3 series of an hour long current affairs chat/panel show On Closer Inspection. The first series was all filmed on location. 2^nd Series filmed in the studio with each section filmed as live.
• 1 series of The Powerhouse. Half hour one to one in-depth interviews with the key movers and shakers in the city – eg. MPs, Police and Crime Commissioners, Council Leader, Business Leaders, University Vice Chancellor etc
• 1 Series of Between the Lines a live hour long paper review show. Currently doing this series.

I have also worked as news planner in the Made in Leeds newsroom.

In addition, I have had 2 BBC jobs for Inside Out North East. The first was a report on obesity in Gateshead as the local authority there has introduced a ban on any new takeaways. This ended up a national radio story that day so also involved doing radio interviews for stations across the UK.

I have also continued to work on radio doing Broadcast Journalist shifts on BBC Radio Leeds and producer shifts. I also present a weekly breakfast show on a radio station in Bradford.”

Lisa Palmer is one of those real gems.  She has done 2 of our private 1 to 1 presenter training courses.  She’s a real hard worker and an absolute joy to work with.  She has just landed herself a top secret project for ITV.  So nothing can be revealed.  But take a look at her TV presenter showreel that we did so you can say you saw her here first!

TV Presenter Training that gets you places!

Today we are off to do some private 1 to 1 presenter training with Rav who came on our fast track TV Presenter training course two months ago.  Since then he’s had meetings with  agents and TV companies and is off to a fantastic start.

Today is all about us expanding and developing his brand.  His TV Presenter Showreel is currently very entertainment focussed – marketing him at BBC THREE and ITV2 for entertainment shows but also there’s a smattering of BBC Docs in his tape too.  Today we are going to strengthen and expand his voice within BBC Docs – this is currently where we think he has a really good chance of getting work, so with some more bespoke training and footage for his presenter showreel he’ll be in with a really good chance.

Rav is definitely one to watch.  He has a fantastic work ethic, and is a really nice person to boot.  Take a look at the presenter talent taster tape we did for him in our 2 day fast track programme – and we’ll be sure to post up his updated tape when that’s finished too!

Our TV Presenter Showreels are all unique to you, your brand and the market you are best suited to.

The last showreel we produced was for Aaron who came on our award-winning TV presenter training course – the fast track programme.

He is well suited to the entertainment market, but also current youth documentaries for the likes of BBC THREE and E4.  So we cleverly marketed him for both of these genres.
